Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, our representative will meet and drive you to your first evening in Tanzania. Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub. The city hosts and is regarded as the de facto capital of the East African Community. Arusha is surrounded by some of Africa’s most famous landscapes and national parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, it has a mild climate.

Over night at Arusha coffee lodge, The aptly named Arusha Coffee Lodge lies hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Guests can unwind in one of the lodge’s exclusive Plantation Suites, which each boast a romantic four-poster bed draped in Egyptian cotton linen, a split-level sitting area, unsuited bathroom, an open fireplace, a personal bar and a private veranda that looks out onto rows and rows of berry-laden coffee bushes.
Day 2: After a breakfast you will drive to Serengeti via Nabi gate, You will have a short game drive at Serengeti, The vast Serengeti , 14,000km² of bio-diversity, home to an astounding 20% of the whole continent’s large animal population On the way you will have another “game drive” to see zebras, giraffes, leopards & cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and all the other animals of the grasslands. You will be able to see the strange rock formations known as Kopjes, each of which is a micro- habitat in itself inhabited by non-plains mammals like Rock Hyrax. Rock thrushes and cliff-nesting raptors, which nest in the rock. When it is very hot leopards can be seen relaxing in the shade of the rocks. After a long game drive, You will have a night at the Seronera camp site.

Day 3 Full day at Serengeti:

Breakfast at around 0800am. Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge in the mid afternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National park is a arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” – Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkey and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Camp Seronera for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Ring

Wake up call at 0600am, have just a cup of hot coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive, this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five. After the game drive drive back to the Lodge at 0930am for the main breakfast, there after check out the Lodge or camp and proceed for the last game drive as you head to Ngorongoro and a night at simba campsite on the crater ring.

Day 5: Game Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will visit Ngorongoro Crater, the main feature of which is a large, unbroken, unfolded volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is mostly open grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia xanthophloea.

Game drives through Ngorongoro Crater begin early in the morning in closed safari vehicles with pop-up roofs. The descent into the crater is one of scenic beauty, as you make your way through lush forests, home to numerous elephants and buffaloes. As you reach the inside of the Ngorongoro Crater, marveling at the incredible landscape around you, your guide will take you through the grassy crater floor, the unbelievable fever tree forest, the banks of Lake Magadi and the surrounding marshes. Lunch is served picnic style, surrounded by the natural wonders around you as well as the exceptional wildlife, roaming freely, with which you share this extraordinary paradise. After having a game inside the crater then you will have a night at Twiga campsite at Mto wa Mmbu

Day 6: Maasai Visit

After breakfast, your driver will take you back to Arusha through Mto wa Mmbu village. On the way before Arusha you will pass by Massai Boma/ Cultural experience which is Another of our most popular short tours, the Maasai tribe safari, which is based around a visit to a traditional Maasai Boma (dwelling). This tour is led by a local guide and you will be told about tribal customs and the methods in which they build their dwellings. The village we visit still preserves the traditional Maasai way of life and you will be enthralled by the truly wonderful and inspiring tales that these people will tell you about their history and way of life. You will also get a chance to learn how the Maasai women make their beautifully coloured and intricate jewellery. The money raised from the sale of their traditional jewellery goes directly back into the local community. In addition, when you join our Maasai Visit you will be able to watch a traditional welcome dance – something truly special that is sure to become a lifelong memory. After that driver will take you back to the hotel Arusha coffee lodge for an extra night.
