Tour Reviews
I’m still processing the whole hike on Saturday and I am filled with gratitude for what you did for me. I am feeling personal empowerment of course in realizing that my body and mind are capable of such a feat. I can tell that part is still settling in and not quite fully realized yet, but I have to tell you that above and beyond that piece of it, the most profound internal shift that is occurring within me (but not quite fully realized yet) is coming from having experienced your kindness.
I come from a kind family and have chosen kind friends throughout my lifetime, but I have never experienced the type of kindness and support that the two of you gave to me on Saturday. Your words and your actions keep coming into mind; “let me pull you up” “let me help you down”, “grab my hand”, “step on my hands”, “step on my foot”, “walk across my back”. I have never experienced anything like that before. That is why it is taking me time to process this but I can tell that a profound internal shift is in the making.
I have always been a self-reliant person and I pride myself on being independent and not accepting help from others. Although I have known this approach to life is not optimal and that vulnerability is the key to human connection, internal wiring and core beliefs are typically very difficult to dissolve.
Believe me when I tell you, something very powerful happened to me on Saturday. I am beyond grateful for your guidance and support in helping me to the summit of Old Rag.
Warmly,
Diana
